YVR - Scotch Dinner @ The Fairmont Vancouver Airport Hotel - 11.27.15

On the evening of November 27th, a few of us were invited to an exclusive scotch dinner at the Globe@YVR restaurant in the exquisite Fairmont Vancouver Airport Hotel.  The dinner featuring the six Classic Malts of Scotland, Glenkinchie, Cragganmore, Dalwhinnie, Oban, Talisker and Lagavulin.  Each scotch was expertly paired by executive chef Karan Suri to a mouth watering dish from appetizer to desert and each pairing was presented by Wirtz Beverages reserve expert, Joel Virginillo. The evening was a very tasty and informative journey, exploring the role nature plays in creating the region’s world-renowned beverages and their impact on different tasting foods.  Food pairings aren't just for wine anymore! 

We want to extend a special thanks to the hotel, their staff, the Chef and Joel for a fun and exciting evening as we travelled through the various pairings. Also special shout out to the various other guests we met throughout the evening as it was an memorable experience.
